I originally started keeping a web presence with KoernerFamily.net back in the 1990's, then EmbersWorld.net for my daughter, and the other blogs mentioned in my intro page. Again, all this to try and keep our family connected from afar.
Writing in the past few years has been therapeutic for me. It also allows me to make new friends, which has been a joy to me since I was a six-year old waving at cars while sitting on the curb in front of my house in Fort Worth, Texas.
Professionally I've been a Research Technician (USU), Plant Research Associate (Dynamac Corp.), Education /Research Project Manager (NASA/KSC), 4-H Youth Development Agent (Univ. of FL Extension Service), prison inmate Transition Facilitator (GDKN), Correctional Officer and now back in Extension Education in 4-H Youth Development. I'm glad to be back to a job where I can offer positive, timely education, establish partnerships and with these partners make positive change in the community.
I don't know what I'll do next, but I learned over time that God weaves a tapestry of our lives, and uses our talents, gifts and challenges to accomplish certain things. For this I am sure, and will continue to do my best at facing each day with faith and try to keep a positive outlook.
Feel free to get in touch with me via email guskoerner@gmail.com or Twitter @guskoerner. I am on Facebook, but I'm not a big fan of it. You can also leave a comment on any of my posts.
God bless and keep in touch!
Mr. Gus.
